1913 Süddeutsche Emulsions-Chemie (SEC) was founded. Since the beginning our main activities have been waterborne emulsions. First cod liver oil emulsions, release agents and later products for the food industry.

Since 1955 the company is specialised on the development, production and marketing of waterborne paraffin-wax and wax emulsions for the paper and cardboard industry.

Since 1978 development, production and marketing of waterborne wax additives for the paint and varnish industries.

The company started in the 1980ies to enlarge the product portfolio for various other industry sectors such as construction chemicals, adhesives and the polish industry.

Since 2001 the company is managed in 4th generation of the owner family.

2006 Introduction of the new logistic center

2009 Purchase of neighbouring ground for expansion of production capacity

2010 Implementing of new production plant for polymer dispersions

Our wax additives are used worldwide in 50 countries. Based on an international sales network as well as a central logistics competence we are used to supply our products irrespective to orders volume and where your production is located – Europe, Russia, South America, Asia or Oceania, „just in time“ !

As flexible specialist we offer to manufacture waterborne additives according to your formulation (toll blending). Different batch sizes are available.
